A bold vertical extension to a family home nestled in the Jura mountains. The Client brief was to add a new storey above ground level. The objective was to create more space for this young family and to enable daylight to penetrate the deepest core of this property. A double-height entrance housing the staircase and first floor gallery celebrates the infusion of much needed daylight. The existing roof is removed to enable the construction of a new floor which is clad in stunning grey larch playfully running two ways in accordance with window openings.
